It's a very nice hotel. The staff is very kind and helpfull. In general th design of hotel is amazing. I suggest everyone to stay in this hotel!
It should be noted that this hotel is situated on 20 minutes by foot from roma Termini. Also Wi-Fi is promoted by additional pay
The staff are helpful and professional and friendly. Breakfast was excellent! Our triple room was comfortable and had a large bathroom. The hotel has a nice little garden where you can sit too. Some people may find the location in the San Lorenzo area a little off-putting at first (grafiti...) but I assure you it's nice and pretty safe (my daughter lived around the corner from the hotel for a year when she studied in Rome). The square where the church is located is quite animated on Summer nights (music) and has a neighborhood feel. There are some nice little cafés in the area, at least one of which has free wifi. The n°3 bus stop is down the street and you can also catch a tram that goes directly to the Vatican (end of line).
Wifi is not free, but if you can live without it who cares lol
Beautiful interior. Good breakfast. Hotel doesn't have laundry but they easily give You an iron. Big bathroom.
The shower cabin is not cosy. There is only tropical shower, not the hand one, it's very uncomfortable. Far distance from the nearest metro station (20 min by fast walking to Vittorio Emanuele St.), but You can use the bus #105 to Termini station and use metro from there. The bathroom wasn't clean when I arrived, but after I told my complaint to the Reception, Housekeeping cleaned the room. No free Wi-fi.
Staff was awesome, accommodated all my needs in excellent English. Excellent breakfast too, and location was very good. Highly recommended!
The front dest staff was very helpful, and I found them very nice.
Overall nothing as such but wifi internet didn't work in the room, so I had to come outside and sit in their garden to use the net
Everything is very nice, hotel amenities, service, room, outside garden. In terms of location, it is very well connected by buses and trams (50m from hotel) to most of the tourist attractions, although walking might also be an idea ;) It is 15-20 min walk to Termini railway station, 5 min probably by bus. Breakfast in the garden is just enough to set you up for a new day of sightseeing. Internet is available on request; charge is not too much. All in all, I will recommend it to others.
The shower cabin is really small and the shower head is not hand held, which makes is quite difficult to use properly. Maybe in bigger rooms, it is different. As for the location, it is indeed very well connected, but try not to get back too late using public transportation; it might get scary.
We drove to the hotel and were able to park- our vehicle was safe throughout our safe. The neighbourhood looks rough- but it is safe and the hotel staff were fantastic. The breakfast buffet was also very good.
The hotel was not entirely central but this is not a negative as we were looking for parking. You can catch a bus straight to the Colosseum- and the staff were very helpful!!!
Great value for the money and dogfriendly was a huge plus! Nothing to eat/see/do in the area and far to walk to porto maggiore for buses and trams or restaurants (you have to walk there to buy tickets) was a big inconvenience. Free parking-first come first serve probably saved us quite some money and staff was very nice and helpful. Great, fresh continental breakfast included with very good coffee (no hot food).
We stayed just for a night and found the hotel was comfortable. We would agree with others who said that the hotel is a gem. The room is nicely decorated with sufficient facilities inside. It's tidy and very clean. The bathroom is very clean. The staff are friendly. We didn't have breakfast since we had to catch a train at 7 A.M. People around the hotel are nice and helpful. The hotel is a part of a Piroli Hotel Group which include Hotel San Anselmo, Hotel Villa S. Pio and Hotel Aventino. Value for money.
If anything... It took 60 minutes to figure out the hotel location by walking from Termini. What's wrong with the map? Better to take tram 5 or 14 from Termini, and ask people at da Porta Maggiore Fermata (tram stop) about direction to Via San Lorenzo. The other thing: the shower cubicle is very very small, around 60 cm x 60 cm.
The director Erol was the best. The hotel was very nice, clean and staff extremely friendly.
I didn't like the location very much. Too much graffitti and the restaruant staff around the hotel, surrounding streets, were not very friendly. Not a bad location.
This was one of the nicest places I've ever stayed in! Hotel itself was lovely and the staff great.....At first I thought the area a bit iffy, but soon realised that it was very interesting, well connected by bus and tram and had fantastic places to eat at very good prices. Be adventurous- try it!! Inga
nice staffs, good english
internet need to pay fees to used. it is not near termini train station. You need to walk to hotel about 30 mins. But you can choose bus to there.
Very quiet. Old villa with pretty extravagant interior, enjoyed by our younger teenage children. Our 3 beds room was spaceous and had a big patio which is great. Booked one single in addition, which was very small. Located in a not very nice area but with good inexpensive restaurants and pizzarias. Close to collosseum by bus, even taxi cost only eur7. Also close to university and student night life.
Long walk from station, alternative seemed taxi only, but in fact, there is a tram fairly close by. We were told by Italian friends that we could not trust taxi drivers, but that was not the case.
Easy to reach from the centre of Rome. Very quiet neighbourhood and rooms (which are also clean and modern). Breakfast is ok (not just coffee and croissants but rolls, cheese, ham, muesli and yoghurt as well).
Breakfast marked as buffet but it's more like continental style. Some fresh fruits and vegetables would be nice.
The environment either in the hotel or its yard was ideal for a hotel of this category, and not only. It has the city's identity and this makes your staying very pleasant. You need just 5-7 minutes with tram or bus from Termini or Colosseum or 20-25 on foot. The buffet was complete and the service satisfying. About the region of Ternini, although what they say, the feeling of insecurity never came out and I conceder Rome as a pleasant and safe city in general. People is always helpful and they smile at you.
The room has an extremely small bathroom even if you travel by your own. The shower is very small even for a shower, it has a wooden deck (since it's in the same level with rest of the floor) which pains your feet and the water riches the door. The tube of the hair drier had also a damaged tube and it wasn't easy to use.
